A long time Musician and Record Producer and a world class Recording Studio Owner, who has become inspired to record music under the name of “A Bad Think” The songs are heavily produced and are meant to be heard and felt without trying to reproduce the same effect live. The goal being to make the best sounding musical experiences possible. The songs look at some of the bad things that have happened, or will happen to each and everyone of us in our lives, such as Life, Death, Love, Sadness, Hope, Longing, Despair and even Cancer in a positive way.

Many mood changes ranging from bone crushing rock to ethereal Electronic, to stripped down Acoustic. All is covered in the musical landscape of A Bad Think”s work. Michael Marquart has worked with many bands live, and in the studio such as, A flock of Seagulls, Alias, The Connells, Abra Moore, No Doubt, Sponge, Buffalo Tom, Frente, Love Spit Love, The Nixons and Dishwalla just to name a few.
Bass and BG Vocals adds just the right groove to each track. Marquart and Burford Lay a perfect rhythm section foundation down that they have been developing for a long time since they played together in A Flock Of Seagulls.
Lead and BG Vocals, The daughter of Michael Marquart and a solo artist in her own right adds all the beauty and innocence to these musical recordings, with Her unique vocal style and flair that is more than a genetic match with her Father.

Kyle Davis has opened the show for such acts as Bob Dylan, The Band, Shawn Colvin and Little Feat, but the buzz that is sure to come from his latest CD Waiting for You will have him headlining all over the country. This adult alternative CD features 12 captivating compositions which boasts a ‘who’s who’ in musician and production credits. Guest musicians include John Molo and George Marinelli of Bruce Hornsby and The Range. Producers include Don Dixon (REM, The Smithereens), Stacy Heydon (Sherriff, Long John Baldry) and Michael Marquart (formerly with A Flock of Seagulls).

The sheer strength of this Richmond based musician’s material has earned him a recent feature in BILLBOARD MAGAZINE. Kyle’s dynamic vocals accompanied by a blend of acoustic and electric rhythms give many songs on this CD the possibility of crossing over from adult alternative to college radio to pop to AC.

After winding up his last tour with A Flock Of Seagulls Michael hung up his touring sticks and went into the studio.

His talents can be heard on top hits such as Alias’ “more than words can say” and he has worked with bands such as “Sponge, Meat Puppets, The Connells, Love Spit Love, Dishwalla, No Doubt, The Nixons, Buffalo Tom, Our Lady Peace, and some projects with Don Dixon.

Most importantly, he has never stopped writing and producing his own material.

Michael Marquart has released his first solo album, “Screwtop Wine”. Two years of production has brought this project to its fullest fruition, the music is nothing short of extraordinary and the production even more memorable. The seductive pessimism will work its way into your head like a slow injected drug. The single “three’s a charm” pokes fun at the unfortunate occurrence of multiple failed marriages. This song, as well as the others, is highly addictive with a flowing reminiscent of Brian Ferry, and in contrast with the rhythm tracks, is illusory. For each and every song probes at some unsettling realities of your true psyche.
Formed in 1986 this glamrock band toured mainly in the midwest and was initially signed to a Canadian Label with George Bernhardt (guitar) and Mark Anthony (lead vocals) from Canada. Rob Hanshaw (bass and vocals), Michael Marquart (drums), Mike Pyne (keyboards) from the United States. Tokio Rose had a strong following when Bernhardt and Anthony left to join the LA band Beau Nasty.
