Panic’s release of “Familiar Dreams” (1991) is a culmination of their myriad of influences, which surrounded them on their tours throughout the highly innovative eclecticism of the 1980s music scene. They were the opening act on tour for Billy Idol, The Romantics, Sheila E, The Producers, The Fixx, The Outfield and The Tubes. As headliners, they pulled record crowds in Louisiana, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland and the Jersey Shore.
The band features songwriters Todd Washburn (keyboards), David Simmons (percussion), Scott Landry (guitar), Gary Lyon (bass) and Michael Marquart (drums). This is the CD that best captures the essence of Panic’s emotional edge, sometimes surreal, fueled by the dynamic drum work and production expertise of Michael Marquart.
Kyle Davis has opened the show for such acts as Bob Dylan, The Band, Shawn Colvin and Little Feat, but the buzz that is sure to come from his latest CD Waiting for You will have him headlining all over the country. This adult alternative CD features 12 captivating compositions which boasts a ‘who’s who’ in musician and production credits. Guest musicians include John Molo and George Marinelli of Bruce Hornsby and The Range. Producers include Don Dixon (REM, The Smithereens), Stacy Heydon (Sherriff, Long John Baldry) and Michael Marquart (formerly with A Flock of Seagulls).
The sheer strength of this Richmond based musician’s material has earned him a recent feature in BILLBOARD MAGAZINE. Kyle’s dynamic vocals accompanied by a blend of acoustic and electric rhythms give many songs on this CD the possibility of crossing over from adult alternative to college radio to pop to AC.
Everville consists of Mark Woerpel on guitars and vocals, Ross King on Bass, and Michael Marquart on Drums.
All 10 cuts were co-written by long time friends Woerpel and Marquart.
Woerpel, a childhood prodigy on guitar playing with the Milwaukee symphony in his early teens, and has done extensive touring with the band Blackfoot, and his own group, Worp Drive.
Marquart has been playing drums for over 20 years, and has toured and recorded with A Flock Of Seagulls, Alias, Tokio Rose, and his solo record, Srewtop Wine.
Everville’s debut release “Faith” coming in March 2006 was produced and mixed by ex-David Bowie guitarist, Stacy Heydon. This incredible collection of joy and misery is music to the ears. Expertly produced and mixed. From bone crushing rock to acoustic spacey, Faith is never predictable.
Tokio Rose
Formed in 1986 this glamrock band toured mainly in the midwest and was initially signed to a Canadian Label with George Bernhardt (guitar) and Mark Anthony (lead vocals) from Canada. Rob Hanshaw (bass and vocals), Michael Marquart (drums), Mike Pyne (keyboards) from the United States. Tokio Rose had a strong following when Bernhardt and Anthony left to join the LA band Beau Nasty.
